In last week’s issue of Hello Magazine, LuLu - one of our favourite regulars here at Feathers - looks ever-so-lovely in our Spring/Summer ’12 collections. Raquel Allegra seems to have been a favourite of the Scottish singer.

Funny enough, we’ve recently had the OBE’s 1975 cover of Bowie’s The Man Who Sold the World on repeat after seeing it on the BBC’s Bowie special last weekend… We can’t get enough.

As one of our most recent additions, we thought we’d give a nod to Helmut Lang, one of the most inspiring brands of our generation.

Helmut Lang, as initiated by the Austrian-born designer and constulted by British stylist Melanie Ward, maintains its position as the ultimate symbol of modernism in fashion. Re-defining minimalism, Lang and Ward continue to reign as the best duo in the biz.

We’re excited to carry his name. Both Helmut Lang’s Pre-Fall collection and diffusion line Helmut have just arived in our stores! Have a peek online or pop in to either Feathers Knightsbridge or Feathers Notting Hill to get a taste of the brand’s extended classics. We’re mad for the pale green Drape Dress ;)

A fantastic brand from Barcelona, Arxe encompasses that chic rustic sensibility that Nest In Feathers is all about. They produce unique textiles and one-off pieces of furniture out of antique industrial materials, and Nest is currently stocking their rustic metal and wood plank containers – great for an abstract display.

We imagine placing a colourful tribal necklace collected on a recent holiday in the centre, or an arrangement of small cacti…

The possibilities are endless. We love beautiful things that leave room for creativity.

Spring Jackets are a tricky one, especially in London; from one day to the next we’re able to experience four complete seasons…

So we’re always on the lookout for pieces that can transition effortlessly and layer with ease. We purchased a series of Carven jackets (both long and short) for precisely this reason and we think they couldn’t be more appropriate. The chic colours manage to say Spring while their weight, texture and cuts grant space for the relentless polarities in forecast.
