Can you believe its another season? No, neither can we… Here are the highlights of what the Feathers team got up to during LFW day 1:
Starting with an intricate and hand-crafted array of dresses and separates via Bora Aksu:
Next up, we were off the Vauxhall Fashion Scout to see the Krystof Strozyna show. Ice cream pastels, nudes and an unexpected but very welcome hit of denim made this show a success.
We particularly loved this double lapel jacket…
Before we knew it, we were then seated at the hot-ticketed Jean-Pierre Braganza show. A display of his masterful prints but with some additional sporty and razor cut pieces gave this show a positive boost in the right direction.
We also loved the fishtail plaits:
Not long after, we were shipped off on the buyer’s bus to the Sass & Bide show. With the designer’s gorgeous kids on the front row, an array of famous blondes (Peaches and the Delevigne sisters if you’re curious) and Paloma Faith in an amazing floral headdress, the show was off to a pretty happy start before it had even begun. When it did begin, we were all stung with the infectious Aussie easy glamour that they know how to do so well. We saw hot neons balanced by navy and white, sequin embroidered jackets so beautiful they made our heads spin and effortless evening-wear pieces perfect for those balmy summer nights.
The neon beading on this dress was a definite favourite:
We also loved the scuba detail on this dress – a trend to look out for when Resort collections hit the shops:
This dramatic sequined shoulder detail was a delight:
and a final idea of colour scheme:
and lastly a shot of the beautiful venue in which it all took place in (definitely wins venue of the day):
Last show of the day was a teenage throw-back via Felder Felder. We saw Cher Horowitz backpacks and pastel coloured metallic pieces. There were also some great tie-dye dresses and beaded jackets and knitwear for good measure.
Goodnight everyone! Don’t forget to check in with us tomorrow to see what we’ve been up to at LFW Day 2! xo
