After the last few weeks of fashion shows, we thought we would take a little break and divert our attention to some art for a change of cultural perspective. Today we came across these amazing paintings by Klari Reis, who fuses art and science to create colourful kaleidoscope master pieces based on petri dishes. Reis uses a UV resistant plastic-epoxy polymer which she injects with brightly coloured powders, oils, acrylics, and industrial dyes. Each day, she releases a new petri dish making no two the same. We think these could be the next inspiration for Mary Katrantzou’s prints, what do you think?….. Who knew science could be so beautiful!
