Here is a collection of works created around celebrities, including Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga and Robert De Niro, which not only make you see them physically with a magnifying glass but also the different emotions and characteristics that build up to make up that individual.

Gregory Siff X Helmut Lang for Angel Food

Street artist Gregory Siff is collaborating with Helmut Lang to help LA based charity Angel Food Project, which helps those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes and other life threatening diseases. Helmut Lang is producing 21 limited edition Tshirts with Gregory Siff painted prints to raise money and awareness for the charity.

To promote the event, Gregory Siff painted on the windows of the new Helmut Lang flagship store on Melrose Avenue, LA. “Using the city as a canvas, Siff painted against the Melrose street sign, the Marc Jacobs advertisement in the distance, the palm trees that lined the Hollywood hills and the bodies of pedestrians whose figures reflected in the glass.” Installation Magazine

Torafu’s Haunted House

In honour of it being October 31st we thought we would share with you a haunting art installation called ‘Haunted House’ designed by the Torafu Architects. The installation is based in Tokyo’s Museum for Contemporary Art as part of an exhibition for children entitled ‘Ghosts, Underpants & Stars’ displaying portraits that eerily watch you, their heads turn and that you can become apart of. The installation is about the change of perspectives and pushing the norms of society….. ‘the normal, staid rules of the museum, such as ‘Don’t Run’, ‘Don’t Touch’ or ‘Keep Quiet’, will be relaxed and will provide a place where children are free to touch and have fun. Based around three keywords that symbolize children: ‘Ghosts’ (imagination), ‘Underpants’ (children’s growth) and ‘Stars’ (wishes), the exhibition will consist not only of works that are just to be appreciated for what they are, but will also include participation works or programs.’ Tell us what you think?
