Here at Feather’s we are always trying to improve and provide a great shopping experience to all our customers in store and online. So at the weekend our E-commerce Manager, Laura, & Feathers Owner, Peter took a short trip to Porto to attend the bi-annual gathering hosted by partnering website Farfetch.com.

Here are a few pictures of behind the scenes to show that despite their hard work, they could not help enjoying the company of fellow boutique owners from all around Europe.

Just after a few season’s Olivier Rousteing, the new face of the iconic House Balmain, has brought a new relaxed feel to the label whilst maintaining its exuberant and opulent aesthetic.

Yesterday some of our Feather’s team went to check out the new exhibition ‘Little Black Jacket’ at the Saatchi Gallery, dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld’s latest book, ‘The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld’

A series of black and white photographs celebrating the legacy of the Chanel Jacket and its adaptability to a range of styles, modelled by various celebrities and friends of the House.

She’s done it again. Last week saw the opening night of Echo Morgan’s first joint exhibition with Emma McGuire and Feathers was there at Blackall Studios Space in Shoreditch to support.

For the opening, Morgan performed her new piece Balls of Steels, captured here by Jamie Baker. In Warrior, both artists explore the self and the body through the medium of performance and photography. And they do it well. A very moving piece by Echo.

This past weekend we went down to the Barbican to check out their latest exhibition of 60’s and 70’s Photography.

Some favourites include a monochrome set of psychedelic prints by Sigmar Polke, the multiple exposures of Boris Mikhailov, a room of classic William Eggleston’s and a set of black and white pictures by Shomei Tomatsu.

Do check it out if you get a chance. It’s not to be missed.
