Finally. The city where dreams are made. With the anticipation of Hedi Slimane at YSL – or should we say Saint Laurant – and Raf Simons at Christian Dior, there has definitely been a special spirit in the air over here.

From showroom to shows, the Feathers team was feeling strong and inspired. As usual, Carven was perfectly preppy and Gareth Pugh as dark as ever. Standouts include a spectacular Rick Owens and a wonderfully unusual Spring/Summer collection from Haider Ackermann. So far so good!

For the latter half of New York Fashion week, we like to highligh the ultimate in New York cool: Theyskens’ Theory and Helmut Lang. Both strong minimalist aesthetics, both stocked at Feathers.

Theykens’ femme fatale was a woman in suit. Quite 80’s, quite Blade Runner. We loved the girls’ futuristic bobs.

Helmut was quite light this season. Nicole and Michael Colovos sent a strong collection of relaxed and sporty Spring looks. Precisely what we want to wear.

So far: Boy. By Band of Outsiders and Alexander Wang for the Feathers roundup.

We loved the warpaint at Boy. A great accent to the bohemian pieces – not completely typic of the brand.

Strict bodycon cutouts at Alexander Wang may not be anything new for the designer but we’re still interested to see the pieces close-up in the showrooms!
