Simone Rocha

Rocha put a more sophisticated spin on her usual girly style, with understated soft silhouettes, inverted pleats and a combination of textures with mohair sweaters and boxy faux fur jackets.

Roksanda Ilincic

Classic Roksanda for her AW13 collection of a ladylike luxury with a vintage twist this season!

Emilio de la Moreno

Designed a line up with maximal comfort and mix matching potential. The tailored separates works just as well with the voluminous day dresses as the streamlined evening alternatives. Look forward to seeing some effectual hand beaded geometric on print works.

Meadham Kirchoff

The collection was packed with a romantic gothic mood, lace laser cut out in latex mini ruffles are one of the unique elements this season for the design duo.

IMG_0995 IMG_0997

Ashish

Show title ‘Working Girl’ from the penthouse to the pavement, see Ashish’s heroine adopt a back to work ethic with shades of midnight black and neon yellow….

IMG_1021 IMG_1036 IMG_1130

Aminaka Wilmont

The design duo continue their love affair with black this season, present an uncompromisingly monochrome collection that is as rich in texture, pattern and shape. Layering is key and silhouettes are boxy, necklines high, coats are designed in sheepskin & leathers which are quilted or smooth.

Haizhen Wang

Haizhen has pulled another shape collection with sculptural outerwear reflects his sharp tailoring skills!

Peter Pilotto

This season Peter Pilotto had a sense of hardness to the collection with a Matador style of cropped jackets, square/exaggerated shoulders and structural dresses, all of which had a powerful or kaleidoscope 3D print on them and incorporated embroidery.

IMG_0742 IMG_0743 IMG_0745 IMG_0747

Michael Van Der Ham

This collection was much darker in mood and colour, taking inspiration from vintage couture and combine it with references to deconstructed, destroyed and worn out clothes.

IMG_0616 IMG_0617

Christopher Kane

Kane screamed of the sixties…. a collection with a pure playfulness for textiles!

Heohwan

J.W. Anderson

J.W. Anderson took a clinical spin on this season’s collection with references to hospital gowns (gaping holes in the back of pieces), straitjackets (long white and colourful bands hanging to the sides) and near the end was a crazy comic strip print (derangement).

Another great day of shows….

Preen

Derek Jarmon’s post apocalyptic, new wave cult film ‘Jubilee’ provided the origins of Preen’s AW13 collection. Minimalist colours, black, red, and white accentuate the stark lines of the silhouettes. Peplum, zip detailing, crystal, silk Devore and pixilated leopard prints are key detailing throughout the collection….. Beautiful!

Mark Fast went all out with his signature sexy knit panelling and created elegant long gowns in punchy colours like Fuschia pink and rouge….. you can never have too much fringing!

Mary Katrantzou

The new collection turns to landscape, inspired by the shadowy vistas of the turn of the century and photography of Edward Steichen. Katrantzou has focussed more on sculptural shape cutting than the prints this season.

Marios Schwab

Marios Schwab is renowned for dressing women with a strong powerful aesthetic and this season was no different.

Richard Nicoll

This season Nicoll played with textures layering chevron knit, croc print leather and colour block flannel wool…. one of his best collections to date!

This is what Day 2 of LFW brought…..

YiFang Wan

YiFang Wan, merit award winner showed this season at Fashion Scout. The title ‘Limits of Body & Possibilities of Mind’ was inspired by the extreme self-restraint and austerity of an ascetic life. Expecting shades of dark violet, deep emerald, indigo and jet black.

photo 2 photo 3 photo 1

Marques Almeida

Marques Almeida explores evening wear this time! Also this season marks their biggest venture into fabrics: pony hair, raw silk & sheepskin!

IMG_0229 IMG_0230 IMG_0231 IMG_0232

Todd Lynn

Todd Lynn’s show ‘Ante Bellum’ was inspired by the gopher gang, a New York tribe who would jump people for their clothes then send them to a seamstress for alterations. Tailoring is cut with long vents, layered underneath cropped styles, as arms are stitched on extraneously.

Moschino Cheap & Chic

Furry coats, leopard prints, gold studs, puff ruffle hem line skirts and dresses! The collection was packed with lots of goodies that modern young girls want for a wild night out! Love those chunky heel shoes!
